A round profile, closely spaced tread, and supple casing contribute to the low rolling resistance of Peak tires, while providing ample traction and braking performance thanks to the edges on every knob and the multidimensional Dynamic:A / T compound. A wire bead tire that functions tubeless, but requires sealant to maintain tire pressure as defined by ISO 4223-1. A tubeless-ready bicycle tire uses a butyl-coated bead to seal the tire against the rim. Generally, the rim is sealed with non-porous tape, while the tire casing requires sealant to hold air.
