Description
When it's time to drop the hammer and crush climbs, the Peak bike tire is the speed demon of mountain biking. A rounded profile, closely spaced tread, and supple casing contribute to the Peak tire's low rolling resistance, while providing ample traction and braking performance thanks to the edges on each knob and the multi-dimensional Dynamic:A / T compound. A wire bead tire that is functional without an inner tube, but requires sealant to maintain tire pressure as defined by ISO 4223-1. A tubeless-ready bike tire uses a butyl-coated bead to seal the tire against the rim. Generally, the rim is sealed with non-porous tape, while the tire casing requires sealant to retain air.
