When it's time to drop the hammer and crush climbs, the Peak bike tire is the speed demon of mountain biking. A rounded profile, closely spaced tread, and supple casing contribute to the low rolling resistance of Peak tires, while providing ample traction and braking performance thanks to the edges on each knob and the multidimensional Dynamic:A/T compound. A wired tire that is functional without an inner tube, but requires sealant to maintain tire pressure as defined by ISO 4223-1. A tubeless ready bicycle tire uses a butyl-coated bead to seal the tire against the rim. Generally, the rim is sealed with a non-porous tape, while the tire casing requires sealant to retain air.
