Bamboo and wood have many of the same positive properties; bamboo is even slightly stronger than wood. A major difference lies in the growth rate of the materials. A tree needs decades to grow large. Bamboo, on the other hand, can be harvested more quickly. This makes it part of a short carbon cycle, meaning that no "old" CO2 is released during harvesting. The area where the bamboo is harvested also recovers more quickly. FSC 100% Bamboo from well-managed forests
