Pro-Tect Chain Lock Flint ART 1

The Pro-tect Flint is a 90 cm long chain lock with the ART 1 quality mark. This ART 1 quality mark makes the Flint ideally suited as a second lock for more expensive bicycles, such as cargo bikes and e-bikes. Weighing only 1235 grams, the Flint offers maximum security with minimal burden. In addition, the chain lock's links are covered with a soft textile sleeve to prevent paint damage to the frame. Furthermore, the lock head has a sliding cover cap that ensures no dirt or moisture gets into the cylinder.

The ART 1 strength (security) level is comparable to the European standard for bicycle locks EN 15496. Therefore, Dutch bicycle theft insurers consider an ART 1 approved lock as the minimum security level with which an e-bike or cargo bike must be locked to a fixed object when an additional (2nd) lock is required.
