Als je met pech langs de kant van de weg staat, moet je het volgende doen: zet je waarschuwingslichten aan, stap aan de bermzijde uit de auto en ga zover mogelijk van de weg afstaan. Plaats een verkeerskegel. Wacht niet in de auto op pechhulp, maar wacht achter de vangrail. Steek nooit de snel weg over; dat is zeer gevaarlijk.
