Indication(s): For well-functioning neck and back vertebrae. For localized fluid accumulation and pressure on the spinal cord. The components have a relaxing effect and can promote impulse transmission between cells. PUUR Herny supports coordination and helps animals move flexibly again.

Composition: Diluted extract of St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) and Arnica (Arnica montana). Alcohol 35% v/v.

Properties per ingredient:
Arnica (Arnica montana) Is a very beneficial plant.
Arnica contains the substances helenalin and dihydrohelenalin (sesquiterpenes) which help protect healthy cells. Furthermore, they are good for the nerves and intervertebral discs.
St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) has a relaxing effect and is good for the nervous system. Additionally, St. John's Wort has a cell-protective effect.

Dosage and application
Unless otherwise prescribed by the veterinarian or therapist.
The optimal dosage is 2 - 3 times daily:
Dog 10 - 15 drops
Cat 5 - 10 drops
20 drops is approximately 1 ml.

If it is difficult in practice to administer this product multiple times a day, once a day or once every two days is sufficient. In that case, give the maximum daily dosage. Even then, this product can be used effectively, but the reaction may be slightly delayed.

Administration
Administer this product directly into the mouth with a plastic syringe; possibly diluted with a little water. Preferably not at the same time as a meal, as the product works better when absorbed by the clean oral mucous membrane.

If an animal does not like the product, the drops can be given on a small treat.

If a cat does not accept the drops, put the drops on a warm spoon and let the alcohol evaporate from the product. Then, diluted with some water or milk, administer directly into the mouth with a syringe. The drops can also be applied to the top of the paw; ensure that the cat licks the drops off its paw.

Usage advice
Ensure calm, even movement; avoid sudden stops as during play. The use of a collar should also be avoided.

Duration of treatment
In an acute situation, the duration of treatment is relatively short. This can vary from a few days to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, continue administering this product for a few more days.

For long-term discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. With improvement, a maintenance dosage can be switched to. This is usually half of the indicated dosage on the packaging. When dosing this product, carefully observe the animal's reaction. Initially, a higher dosage may be necessary; this product can be safely given at a double dosage. Gradually reduce the dosage to the lowest possible dosage.

This product can be given continuously. It is advisable to include a stop week after every 6 to 8 weeks. This allows the 'stimulus' to be offered again after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if there is a reason to do so.
