PLC Batteries
PLC stands for Programmable Logic Controller. These batteries are therefore intended to power, and continue to power, the memory of programmable devices or electrochemical processes. This includes automatic assembly machines, packaging machines, lighting systems, and material handling machines.
The most common PLC battery is a Lithium Thionyl Chloride battery. This technology is excellent for applications with low power demand and where a long lifespan is required. These batteries are available in 3V and 3.6V.
Warning: never attempt to charge PLC batteries, as they can explode.
