To extend the lifespan of your new disc brake pads, it is important to bed them in properly. Keep the brake lever lightly applied while riding and ensure the brake pads make contact with the brake disc. Ride for approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake harder at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. Repeat this process 10 to 12 times to ensure your new brake pads are properly bedded in.
