After installing new brake pads, it is very important to bed them in; this will extend their lifespan.
How to improve the lifespan of your disc brake pads:
Lightly pull the brake lever while riding, ensuring the brake pads make contact with the disc. Ride for approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and then brake harder at the end to reduce your speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. Then slowly increase your speed while braking lightly. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure your new brake pads are properly bedded in.
