This set of 25 pairs of Metallic Carbon disc brake pads is suitable for the SRAM Red Race. With Elvedes, you choose good value for money, and with the steel Elvedes Discovery display, you always have the right brake pads at hand in the workshop.
- Compound: There are three different compounds available within the Elvedes range. The organic compound is ideal for dry conditions and suitable for MTBs, trekking, and road bikes. The sintered compound is ideal for wet conditions and suitable for MTBs. The metallic carbon (semi-metal) compound is ideal for both wet and dry weather conditions and suitable for e-bikes.
- Lifespan: After mounting new brake pads, it is important to bed them in; this extends their lifespan.
- Bedding in: To improve the lifespan of the disc brake pads, we recommend bedding them in. Keep the brake lever lightly pulled while riding and ensure the brake pads make contact with the brake disc. Ride for approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake harder at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. Then slowly increase the speed while braking lightly. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure the new brake pads are properly bedded in.
