After installing new brake pads, it is very important to bed them in, as this extends their lifespan.

How to improve the lifespan of your disc brake pads:

Keep the brake lever lightly pulled while riding and ensure the brake pads make contact with the disc. Ride for approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour, then brake harder at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. Then slowly increase speed while braking lightly. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure your new brake pads are properly bedded in.
