Description
The anteater from the schleich® WILD LIFE theme world lives in the savannas and grasslands of Central and South America. This mammal primarily feeds on ants and termites. To extract them from their nests, the anteater inserts its long snout into the nest and extends its 60 cm long, sticky tongue inside. The insects then stick to its tongue. Anteaters also have a bushy tail, which appears larger than it actually is due to its long hairs.
