What a magnificent sight to see the ibex standing on a rock, gazing into the depths. You can spot his mighty horns from afar. Simply majestic! His kingdom is high in the mountains. As soon as he starts nimbly climbing the rocks, no one can follow him. The ibex climbs skillfully through the high mountains. He carefully places his graceful hooves and keeps a close eye on the path. The ibex moves through the difficult terrain of the Alps with more confidence than any other animal. He scrambles up to 3500 meters in altitude! But to eat, he has to descend to lower elevations. Those lush alpine meadows with delicious herbs are not found at such heights.
