. What fruit comes to mind when you see our Schleich® WILD LIFE tapir calf? Exactly! With its stripes and spots, it looks like a watermelon. But this funny pattern disappears as it grows up. Instead, the little glutton gets a lot chubbier. When fully grown, your friend with the trunk is almost as heavy as a horse. Phew. Quite a weight. But also very useful. Because if the tapir leans against a tree, it falls over. That way, when the tapir calf is grown, it can reach even the tastiest fruits hanging high up in the tree. Truly a creature to go wild for! But until it's grown, it prefers to lean against your backpack. Not to knock it over, though. Just because it's so cozy.
