Description
The Schleich Wild Life manatee is a mammal that lives in tropical waters, where it feeds on seaweed, algae and other aquatic plants. Their closest relatives are not cows, but elephants. Over millions of years, their front limbs have evolved into flippers. Their hind limbs have degenerated completely. In round-tailed manatees, the tail has become a spade-shaped paddle, and in forked-tailed manatees, a fork-shaped paddle.
