Seepje purchases the shells in Nepal at a fair price, and they are then packaged in social workshops in the Netherlands. How Seepje Works The Sapindus mukorossi fruits grow in abundance on trees in and around the Himalayas. The shells of these fruits contain a natural form of soap called saponin. In your washing machine, they come into contact with water, spontaneously releasing their soap! Hypoallergenic and free from chemical nasties, these super shells make your laundry wonderfully clean and soft. Due to the favorable climate in the Himalayas, the largest and highest quality fruits grow there. These shells therefore contain a lot of natural soap.
