The tip of the PROFTEC screw also has a pre-drilling 'cutting point'; this allows you to work in most cases without pre-drilling, without splitting the wood. The 3.5 – 4.0 – 4.5 – 5.0mm screws can all be driven with the same TX-20 bit. So you don't have to change bits when screwing with different screw sizes. Sharp milling ribs under the head ensure a neat finish when you countersink the screw head into the wood. All screws from 40mm length are designed as partial-thread variants, with a spiral on the shank; for optimal functioning in wood-on-wood connections. Due to the 'free' shoulder section on the PROFTEC screw, the second wood part is extra firmly pulled onto the first part, which significantly strengthens the wood connection. The screws are packed in a convenient plastic bucket, as bulk packaging. The bucket made of recycled plastic is easy to use and has a handle for lifting, which saves a lot of cardboard waste if you are going to use larger quantities of screws.
