De spatborden hebben reflectoren die zorgen voor een verbeterde zichtbaarheid en veiligheid tijdens het fietsen. Daarnaast zijn ze voorzien van zelfreinigende oppervlaktes, waardoor modder zich niet kan hechten. Bij contact met water reinigen de spatborden zichzelf tijdens het fietsen.
