Description
The SK-HC18 from StudioKing is a honeycomb grid that fits into a standard 18 cm reflector. Thanks to the reflector, you can narrow the light beam: the light is diffused at an angle of 40 degrees. If you were to work without this reflector, the light would be diffused at an angle of up to 180 degrees. The SK-HC18 therefore allows you to direct the light more precisely, so you can illuminate the subject in exactly the right spot. The flexible bracket on the side ensures that the SK-HC18 clamps securely into the reflector.

When taking photos or videos with an 18 cm reflector, you can use the SK-HC18 for a narrower light beam. For example, in a three-point lighting setup during interviews, you can adjust the backlight so that the light precisely hits the back of the head. This creates a beautifully lit rim around the interviewee's head. The 40-degree beam is also clearly visible on walls and ceilings, allowing you to create more atmosphere by illuminating specific areas. Because the SK-HC18 is made of metal, it can be used with almost all types of lamps; continuous light, flash light, and halogen light are no problem at all.
