Description
The BC1406A Tektro hydraulic disc brake RTrekking / recreation is a hydraulic disc brake system that offers easy installation, adjustment, and maintenance. The system features an open, dual-piston design and comes without a brake disc. The lever is made of aluminum and has a cast aluminum bracket. The reach is adjustable and the bracket is a one-piece design. The lever is designed for 3-finger operation and has a black finish. The caliper has a forged aluminum housing and offers automatic caliper positioning via front and rear adapters. The caliper also has a black finish. The brake pads are made of a metal-ceramic compound and are easy to replace. The system uses non-corrosive mineral oil fluid and has excellent thermal expansion properties. The brake weighs 285 grams for the front and 305 grams for the rear (excluding rotor, adapter, and mounting bolts).
