This insulates the bathtub like a thermos flask. The cooling of the bathwater through the bath walls then becomes negligible compared to cooling through the water surface. Because the water stays warm longer due to the insulation, you don't have to refill the bathwater with hot water. Bathing in pleasantly warm water with the thermal cushions costs up to 33% less energy. The most environmentally friendly produced insulation material. The volume of the cushions is small enough to deliver the package of TONZON thermal cushions by cargo bike. This also saves exhaust gases from commercial vans. The short thermal cushion goes between the legs against the bottom of the bath. The long thermal cushion goes around the bath wall. The thermal cushions can be sealed with the tape and glued to the (smooth) outside of the bath (see drawing, numbers 1 to 4). Finally, both cushions are glued together (no. 5) and against the legs to create a leak-proof whole. The standard package is suitable for baths up to 180 cm long and 80 cm wide (maximum circumference 5.2 meters). The large package goes up to a circumference of 6 meters. The double-sided tape does not stick to baths with a rough exterior (such as fiberglass). To attach the thermal cushions to this type of bath wall, foil adhesive is needed. This makes the bath wall (partially) self-adhesive. For one bath, a jar of 100 ml is sufficient. Whirlpools: The standard package is not suitable for whirlpools due to the large number of tubes. Without insulation, the water in a whirlpool cools down faster than in a regular bath, making insulation extra useful. The double-walled reflective principle can also be applied to these baths. For this, reflective tlu tape is first used and stuck to the bath wall. The hoses/pipes can be made reflective with bandage foil or aluminum tape. Finally, the whole is wrapped with a thermosheet.
