Het kanteldak is bekleed met waterafstotende stof om regen buiten te houden. Dit verblijf is een perfecte rustplaats voor pluimvee of andere kleine dieren. Het dak van de nestkast kan worden geopend voor het gemakkelijk rapen van eieren.
