Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed more easily into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, so that the dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining a healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, originated thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Dobermann specific vegetables, herbs and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Dobermann. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Dobermann belongs. Based on this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Dobermann.

Basil

Basil is a genus from the mint family. The name comes from ancient Greek, in which 'Obasileus' means king, so the alternative name is king's herb. It originally occurs between central Africa and Southeast Asia.

According to traditional medicine, basil was used as a treatment method for arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart disease and abdominal pain, among other things. Research has shown that basil can have strong antioxidant, antiviral and antimicrobial properties. In addition, basil can promote digestion, help with the removal of waste products and can have an antispasmodic and calming effect on dogs.

Mango

Mango belongs to the genus Mangifera and probably originated in northeastern India and Southeast Asia. It is a stone fruit with varying shapes and grows on a tree that can reach a height of 40 meters.

This delicious summer treat is packed with essential vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamins A, B6, C and E and is rich in potassium, beta-carotene and alpha-carotene. Furthermore, mango contains many healthy dietary fibers that contribute to strengthening the immune system and digestion. The natural antioxidant (vitamin C) contributes to supporting vital bodily functions. Vitamin A is packed with beta-carotene, which can help maintain and improve vision.

We add mango to our dog food because it can positively contribute to supporting the dog's resistance and healthy digestion. In addition, mango can support the dog's eyesight.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, on which the hand apples, commonly known especially in the northern hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fiber has a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and smooth. Dietary fiber also increases the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures a thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that contributes to supporting a healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the early years.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Dobermann dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Dobermann is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Dobermann older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Dobermann senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days again. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Dobermann dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or container in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the container, but to put it in the container with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible.
