Our Ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be better processed into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and it is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content, and fewer calories, this tender meat is bursting with health benefits.

Poultry

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Transylvanian Hound. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Transylvanian Hound belongs. Basil

Basil is a genus from the mint family. The name comes from Ancient Greek, where Obasileus means king, hence the alternative name king's herb. It originated between Central Africa and Southeast Asia.

According to traditional medicine, basil was used as a treatment method for arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart disease, and abdominal pain, among other things. Research has shown that basil can have strong antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties. Tomato

At Yourdog, we use tomato at a culinary level, considering tomato as a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content that contributes to digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving a tomato its red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can offer protection against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases, among other things. In addition, tomatoes contain many vitamin C and vitamin A and B-complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

Cranberry

The cranberry is a plant from the heath family. This plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands in the Netherlands and is very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. The plant originally comes from North America and is believed to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can offer a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, and antioxidants to support the immune system. Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you choose between our Transylvanian Hound dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Transylvanian Hound is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Transylvanian Hound older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Transylvanian Hound Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Transylvanian Hound dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the container, but to place the entire bag, which you close as well as possible, into the container.
