Our Ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Wire Fox Terrier. Spirulina

Spirulina is a nutritional supplement with exceptionally high nutritional value, made from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical regions. It belongs to the microalgae family. Did you know that spirulina can be grown in space and consists of 60 to 70% protein?

It is rich in vitamins, including B12, minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and potassium, and all essential amino acids. Spirulina can contribute to the overall health and well-being of dogs. In addition, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. The algae also have a detoxifying effect and promote digestion.

Nettle

Nettle is a genus of plants, with common nettle and small nettle found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying properties. According to various sources, nettle is bactericidal and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhea or other digestive disorders.

Nettle supports the function of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. In addition, it supports bladder function and hair growth in dogs.

Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building block that is part of connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair, and nails, among other things. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and helps maintain healthy skin.

At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to a dog's coat, skin, and bones, as well as preventing digestive and/or urinary problems.

Carrot

The carrot as we know it today, the orange carrot, is the result of many years of cross-breeding. The first white carrots originally came from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the VOC in the 17th century.

Carrots are an important source of vitamins and fiber. Carrots contain retinol (vitamin A1) and beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. This is important for capillary development and the health of all cells. The fiber in a carrot contributes to a dog's digestion. In addition, carrots are low in calories and good for coat and skin.

At Yourdog, we add carrots to dog food because they can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to a dog's coat and skin, as well as promoting good vision and healthy digestion.

Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Wire Fox Terrier dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Wire Fox Terrier is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Wire Fox Terrier older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Wire Fox Terrier Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Wire Fox Terrier dog food at your discretion.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you seal as tightly as possible.
