Our Ingredients

Buffalo

Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific issues can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Grand Griffon Vendéen Specific Vegetables, Herbs, and Fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Grand Griffon Vendéen. Chamomile

Chamomile is a genus in the daisy family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name Chamomile comes from a Greek word meaning "ground apple" and refers to its apple-like scent. Chamomile has an excellent reputation in natural medicine.

Chamomile can be added by us to Yourdog dog food because it could positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammations, and urinary tract.

Chamomile can have a mild calming effect on dogs and could therefore be used for dogs that frequently experience stress. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with "nervous digestion," as it can have antispasmodic and antiseptic properties.

Fennel

Fennel is a plant from the carrot family and is recognizable by its anise flavor. The thread-like branches of its leaves are often used as an herb, and its seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.

Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamin A and C, and the minerals iron and potassium.

Cranberry

The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. In the Netherlands, this plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. Originally from North America, it is believed to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, and antioxidants to support the immune system. Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Grand Griffon Vendéen dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Grand Griffon Vendéen is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For a Grand Griffon Vendéen older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Grand Griffon Vendéen Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Let your dog get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let your dog get used to this again for two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Grand Griffon Vendéen dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you should seal as tightly as possible, into the bin.
