Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be better processed into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma for the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring that your dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for your dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote your dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in your dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Griffon Bruxellois specific vegetables, herbs and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Griffon Bruxellois. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Griffon Bruxellois belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Griffon Bruxellois.

Fenugreek

Like the pea, fenugreek is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called foenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originated in Mesopotamia and was already known in the ancient world in the Mediterranean region. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponins and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to our food to prevent arthritis, asthma, skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of adding fenugreek, and it supports healthy digestion.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the hand apples, generally known mainly in the northern hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fibres have a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making stools soft and smooth. Dietary fibres also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates bowel function, but also ensures a thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fibre that contributes to supporting healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the young years.

Celery

Celery is a plant from the parsley family. The plant can often be found along the coast on wet soil.

Celery is rich in vitamins A, C and K, but also contains a lot of folic acid and potassium. In addition, celery is fat-free, rich in fibre and very low in calories.

We add celery to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to supporting the dog's immune system and digestion. It can also have a positive effect on skin and coat, muscle and nerve function due to vitamin A, and maintaining strong bones due to vitamin K.

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days again. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Griffon Bruxellois dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible, in the bin.
