Our Ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

Thyme

Thyme is a genus from the mint family. It includes herbaceous or woody plants with a very aromatic scent. Thyme was used by the Greeks and Romans as a medicinal herb against lung diseases, rheumatism, paralysis, stomach cramps, tumors, headaches, colic, and nervous weaknesses.

The medicinal properties of thyme are confirmed by its high vitamin K content. Thyme also contains a lot of iron, as well as the minerals calcium and manganese. It also contains the amino acid tryptophan and a significant amount of fiber.

Apple

Dietary fibers have diverse effects in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making stool soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates intestinal function but also ensures thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble, and apples are low in calories.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Hanoverian Scenthound dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Hanoverian Scenthound is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Hanoverian Scenthound older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Hanoverian Scenthound Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Hanoverian Scenthound dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the container, but to place it with the entire bag, which you close as tightly as possible, into the container.
