The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving a tomato its red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can, among other things, offer protection against cancer and help with cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

Tomato is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.

Cranberry

The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. In the Netherlands, this plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the country. The plant originally comes from North America and is believed to have arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C and antioxidants to support the immune system. To help you choose the right Yourdog Hellinikos Ichnilatis dog food variant, you can use the following guidelines. If your Hellinikos Ichnilatis is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Hellinikos Ichnilatis older than 7 years, we recommend the [senior variant name]. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can, at your discretion, start feeding 100% Yourdog Hellinikos Ichnilatis dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you seal as best as possible, into the bin.
