Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, so that the dog gets all the essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Keeshond specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Keeshond. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Keeshond belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Keeshond.

Blueberry

Blueberries belong to the heather family of plants and grow mainly in the open forests in the northern hemisphere. The plant has been used for a long time in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and diabetes.

Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fibre for digestion and the berries are rich in vitamin C and K. It could support the immune system and contribute to the overall health of the dog.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek, like peas, is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called 'Greek hay'. It originated in Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean in ancient times. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponin and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to our food to prevent arthritis, asthma, skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of adding fenugreek and it supports healthy digestion.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, on which the universally known dessert apples grow, mainly in the northern hemisphere. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fibre has a versatile effect on the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and smooth. Dietary fibre also increases the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures a thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fibre that contributes to supporting a healthy intestinal flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamin A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the young years.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Keeshond dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Keeshond is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Keeshond older than 7 years, we recommend the . If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

We are convinced of the quality of our food. That is why we provide a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packaging. If your Keeshond does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will get your purchase price back from us.

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can, at your discretion, start feeding 100% Yourdog Keeshond dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or container in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the container, but to put it in the container with the whole bag, which you then close as well as possible.
