Our Ingredients

To produce our food, for a 12 kg bag, 10.6 kg of meat is dried, which makes it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together create a delicious taste and aroma for the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry support good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific issues can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Standard Poodle. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Standard Poodle belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Standard Poodle.

Parsley

Parsley is a biennial, hardy, herbaceous plant from the carrot family. Parsley has been used as a medicinal herb for hundreds of years. There are dozens of ailments that parsley fights. According to various sources, it cures, among other things, diarrhea, anemia, and ear infections. It is full of iron, more than spinach, for example. Parsley also contains other minerals such as silicon, as well as vitamins B and C, and carotene.

At Yourdog, we add parsley to dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific issues related to blood, heart, and kidneys.

Parsley is a natural source of vitamins C, A, and K. This can contribute to the immune system and eyes, and can support the cardiovascular system and liver. Parsley also has anti-inflammatory properties and can have a diuretic effect, helping to keep the dog's bladder free from contamination.

Celery

Celery is a plant from the carrot family. The plant is often found along the coast on wet ground.

Celery is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, but also contains a lot of folic acid and potassium. In addition, celery is fat-free, rich in fiber, and very low in calories.

We add celery to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to supporting the dog's immune system and digestion. It can also have a positive effect on the skin and coat, muscle and nerve function due to vitamin A, and maintaining strong bones due to vitamin K.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, on which the common hand apples, especially known in the northern hemisphere, grow. Apples grow in temperate regions.

Dietary fibers have versatile effects in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making stool soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates bowel function but also ensures thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble, and apples are low in calories.

Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you choose the right variant of our Standard Poodle dog food, you can use the following guidelines. If your Standard Poodle is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Standard Poodle older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Standard Poodle senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

If your Standard Poodle does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the issues. If we cannot resolve it together, we will refund your purchase amount.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for two or three days again. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Standard Poodle dog food at your discretion.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, which you seal as tightly as possible, into the bin.
