Our ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol, fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

>

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables are added to our food. Not only are vegetables nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

>

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, providing the dog with all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, its breed or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

>

Labradoodle specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Labradoodle. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Labradoodle belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Labradoodle.

Rosehip

Rosehip is native to Europe; the shrub it grows on can reach one to four meters in height. The rose blooms in June and July, with flowers usually light pink or sometimes white.

The plant is packed with vitamin C and also rich in vitamins A, B, various minerals and antioxidants. At Yourdog, we add rosehip as it can support the immune system and help combat infections.

Nettle

Nettle is a genus of plants, with common nettle and small nettle found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying effects. According to various sources, nettle is antibacterial and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhoea or other digestive disorders.

Nettle supports the function of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. It also supports bladder function and hair growth in dogs.

Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building block that is part of connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails, among other things. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and helps maintain healthy skin.

At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat, skin and bones, as well as preventing digestive and/or urinary problems.

Tomato

The tomato is part of the nightshade family and originates from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.

At Yourdog, we use tomato at a culinary level, considering tomato as a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fibre content which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red colour. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving a tomato its red colour, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can offer protection against cancer and may help with cardiovascular diseases, among other things. Additionally, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

Tomato is added to our dog food because it can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.

Feeding advice

Body weight (kg) Daily amount (g)
10 - 20 190 - 315
20 - 40 315 - 525
40 - 60 525 - 750

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then feed 100% Yourdog Labradoodle dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you have sealed as well as possible, into the bin.
