Our ingredients

To make our feed, for a 12 kg bag, 10.6 kg of meat is dried, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and it is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is brimming with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry contribute to good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

The healthy herbs that enrich our feed come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific issues can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Miniature Schnauzer-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Miniature Schnauzer. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Miniature Schnauzer belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Miniature Schnauzer.

Spirulina

Spirulina is a nutritional supplement with exceptionally high nutritional value, made from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical regions. It belongs to the microalgae family. Did you know that spirulina can be grown in space and consists of 60 to 70% protein?

It is rich in vitamins, including B12, minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and potassium, and all essential amino acids. Spirulina can generally contribute to the dog's health and well-being. Additionally, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. The algae also have a detoxifying effect and promote digestion.

Celery

Celery is a plant from the parsley family. The plant is often found along the coast on wet ground.

Celery is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, and also contains a lot of folic acid and potassium. Additionally, celery is fat-free, rich in fiber, and very low in calories.

We add celery to our dog food because it can positively contribute to supporting the dog's immune system and digestion. It can also have a positive effect on the skin and coat, the function of muscles and nerves due to vitamin A, and maintaining strong bones due to vitamin K.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, on which the widely known apples grow, especially in the northern hemisphere. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fibers have a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making stools soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates bowel function but also ensures thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. Additionally, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support a healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble, and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures muscle and bone development during the young years.

Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you choose between our Yourdog Miniature Schnauzer dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Miniature Schnauzer is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For a Miniature Schnauzer older than 7 years, we recommend the Senior variety. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days as well. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can feed 100% Yourdog Miniature Schnauzer dog food at your discretion.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin but to place the entire bag, which you close as well as possible, into the bin.
