Our Ingredients

To produce our feed, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for every 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content, and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma for the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables are added to our feed. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruits

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring your dog gets all the essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for your dog's immune system, and it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote your dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our feed come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and seaweeds, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in your dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, its breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Pincher-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Pincher. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Pincher belongs. Based on these studies, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Pincher.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek, like peas, is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called 'Greek hay'. It originated in Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in ancient times. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponin and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (a natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to our feed to prevent arthritis, asthma, and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of fenugreek addition, and it supports healthy digestion.

Spirulina

Spirulina is a dietary supplement with exceptionally high nutritional value, made from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical regions. It belongs to the microalgae family. Did you know that spirulina can be grown in space and consists of 60 to 70% protein?

It is rich in vitamins, including B12, minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and potassium, and all essential amino acids. Spirulina can generally contribute to the overall health and well-being of your dog. In addition, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. The algae also have a detoxifying effect and promote digestion.

Mango

Mango belongs to the genus Mangifera and likely originated in northeastern India and Southeast Asia. It is a stone fruit with varying shapes and grows on a tree that can reach a height of 40 meters.

This delicious summer treat is packed with essential vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamins A, B6, C, and E, and is rich in potassium, beta-carotene, and alpha-carotene. Furthermore, mango contains many healthy dietary fibres that contribute to strengthening the immune system and digestion. The natural antioxidant (vitamin C) contributes to supporting vital bodily functions. Vitamin A is full of beta-carotene, which can help maintain and improve vision.

We add mango to our dog food because it can positively contribute to supporting your dog's resistance and healthy digestion. In addition, mango can support your dog's eyesight.

Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Pincher dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Pincher is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For a Pincher older than 7 years, we recommend the [missing variant name]. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

We are convinced of the quality of our food. That's why we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packaging. If your Pincher doesn't seem to like their Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyse the problems. If we can't find a solution together, you will receive a refund of the purchase price.

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Pincher dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the container, but to place the entire bag, which you have sealed as tightly as possible, into the container.
