Our ingredients

To produce our feed, for a 12 kg bag, 10.6 kg of meat is dried to make it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Podenco Ibicenco. Fenugreek

Fenugreek, like the pea, is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called foenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originated in Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in antiquity. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponin and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to our feed to prevent arthritis, asthma, skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of fenugreek addition, and it supports healthy digestion.

Marigold

The marigold (calendula) is a plant that, like goldenrod, belongs to the daisy family. Calendula is a cultivated flower; it has been used for its diverse medicinal properties for years. The original calendula species probably grew in Asia and Eastern Europe, but this field marigold is now rarely found in the wild. Marigold is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients.

There is a lot of information available about the positive effects of calendula. Calendula can be added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the skin, mouth, throat, digestion, eyes, and feet. Especially good for skin and mucous membrane recovery, it has an anti-inflammatory and regenerating effect. It can also prevent cramps during the digestive process.

Calendula is mainly used as an external care product for scratches or skin problems, among other things. But it can also be used internally due to its regenerating properties.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the commonly known hand apples grow, especially in the northern hemisphere. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fibers have versatile effects in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making stools soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates bowel function but also ensures thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fibers. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble and apples are low in calories.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Podenco Ibicenco dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Podenco Ibicenco is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Podenco Ibicenco older than 7 years, we recommend the . If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Podenco Ibicenco dog food at your discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible, in the bin.
