Our Ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so it can be better processed into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is brimming with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables are added to our food. Not only are vegetables nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, contribute to digestion.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Pomsky specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Pomsky. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Pomsky belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Pomsky.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek, like the pea, is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called foenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originated in Mesopotamia and was already known in antiquity in the Mediterranean region. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponins and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to our food to prevent arthritis, asthma, and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of adding fenugreek, and it supports healthy digestion.

Carrot

The carrot as we know it today, or the orange carrot, is the result of many years of cross-breeding. The first white carrots originally came from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the VOC in the 17th century.

Carrots are an important source of vitamins and fiber. Carrots contain retinol (vitamin A1) and beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. This is important for the development of capillaries and the health of all cells. The fiber in a carrot contributes to the dog's digestion. In addition, carrots are low in calories and good for coat and skin.

At Yourdog, we add carrot to dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat and skin. But also to promote good vision and healthy digestion.

Blueberry

Blueberries belong to the heather family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the Northern Hemisphere. The plant has been used for a long time in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.

Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fiber for digestion and the berries are rich in vitamins C and K. It could support the immune system and contribute to the overall health of the dog.

Puppy, Adult or Senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Pomsky dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Pomsky is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Pomsky older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Pomsky senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

We are convinced of the quality of our food. That is why we provide a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packaging. If your Pomsky does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will receive a refund of the purchase price.

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Pomsky dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the container, but to place it in the container with the entire bag, which you seal as well as possible.
