Our Ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, allowing it to be processed more effectively into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and it is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together create a delicious taste and aroma for the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry contribute to good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from European plants. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in your dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific issues can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Pomsky-Specific Vegetables, Herbs, and Fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Pomsky. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Pomsky belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Pomsky.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek, like peas, is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also known as "Greek hay." It originated in Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean in ancient times. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponins and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (a natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to our food to prevent arthritis, asthma, and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of added fenugreek, and it supports healthy digestion.

Carrot

The carrot as we know it today, or the orange carrot, is the result of many years of cross-breeding. The first white carrots originally came from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the VOC in the 17th century.

Carrots are an important source of vitamins and fiber. Carrots contain retinol (vitamin A1) and beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. This is important for the development of capillaries and the health of all cells. The fiber in a carrot contributes to your dog's digestion. Additionally, carrots are low in calories and good for coat and skin.

At Yourdog, we add carrots to our dog food because they can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific issues related to your dog's coat and skin, as well as promoting good vision and healthy digestion.

Blueberry

Blueberries belong to the heath family of plants and primarily grow in open forests in the northern hemisphere. The plant has long been used in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.

Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. Additionally, they contain good fiber for digestion and are rich in vitamins C and K. They can support the immune system and contribute to your dog's overall health.

Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Pomsky dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Pomsky is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Pomsky older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Pomsky Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

We are confident in the quality of our food. That's why we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packages. If your Pomsky doesn't seem to like their Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, we will refund your purchase amount.

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Your dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let your dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can, at your discretion, start feeding 100% Yourdog Pomsky dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin but to place the entire bag, which you seal as well as possible, into the bin.
