Our ingredients

For the production of our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

Parsley is a biennial, hardy, herbaceous plant from the carrot family. Parsley has been used as a medicinal herb for hundreds of years. There are dozens of diseases that parsley combats. According to various sources, it cures, among other things, diarrhea, anemia, and ear infections. It is packed with iron, more than spinach, for example. Parsley also contains other minerals such as silicon, as well as vitamins B and C and carotene.

Carrot

The carrot as we know it today, or the orange carrot, is the result of many years of crossbreeding. The first white carrots originally came from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the VOC in the 17th century.

Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Portuguese Water Dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Portuguese Water Dog is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Portuguese Water Dog older than 7 years, we recommend the . If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Portuguese Water Dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible.
