Our ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste, rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Pyrenean French Braque specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Pyrenean French Braque. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Pyrenean French Braque belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Pyrenean French Braque.

Banana

The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that bananas may have been cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word 'Obanaana' from the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and B11 (folic acid), and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. Tomato

The tomato is part of the nightshade family and originates from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.

At Yourdog, we use tomatoes at a culinary level, considering tomatoes as a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content which contributes to digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving a tomato its red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can, among other things, offer protection against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

Tomatoes are added to our dog food because they could positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, they can have a general purifying effect on the body.

Blueberry

Blueberries belong to the heather family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the Northern Hemisphere. The plant has been used for a long time in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.

Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. Additionally, they contain good fibers for digestion and are rich in vitamins C and K. They could support the immune system and contribute to the dog's overall health.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you choose the right variant of our Pyrenean French Braque dog food, you can use the following guidelines. If your Pyrenean French Braque is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Pyrenean French Braque older than 7 years, we recommend the Senior variant. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

If your Pyrenean French Braque does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will receive a refund of your purchase amount.

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Pyrenean French Braque dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, sealed as tightly as possible, into the bin.
