Our Ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is brimming with health benefits.

Poultry

Marigold

Marigold (calendula) is a plant that, like goldenrod, belongs to the daisy family. Calendula is a cultivated flower; it has been used for years for its various medicinal properties. The original calendula species probably grew in Asia and Eastern Europe, but this field marigold is now rarely found in the wild. Marigold is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients.

Thyme

Thyme is a genus from the mint family. It includes herbaceous or woody plants with a very aromatic scent. Thyme was used by the Greeks and Romans as a medicinal herb against lung diseases, rheumatism, paralysis, stomach cramps, tumors, headaches, colic, and nervous weaknesses.

The medicinal properties of thyme are confirmed by the high values of vitamin K it contains. In addition, thyme also contains a lot of iron, as well as the minerals calcium and manganese. It also contains the amino acid tryptophan and a significant amount of fiber.

Carrot

The carrot as we know it today, or the orange carrot, is the result of many years of cross-breeding. The first white carrots originally came from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the VOC in the 17th century.

Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you choose the right Yourdog Scottish Collie dog food variant, you can use the following guidelines. If your Scottish Collie is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Scottish Collie older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Scottish Collie Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Feeding Guidelines

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog will now be almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Scottish Collie dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you should seal as well as possible, into the bin.
