Our ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Siberian Husky. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Siberian Husky belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Siberian Husky.

Banana

The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word 'Obanaana' from the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and B11 (folic acid), and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. The natural antioxidant, vitamin C, can strengthen immunity. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a well-functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Potassium can also help lower blood pressure in dogs with high blood pressure, while magnesium can help relax muscles and promote bone growth. In addition, bananas contain many good fibers and contribute to more good bacteria in the intestines.

Peppermint

Peppermint is a plant from the mint family. It is the plant that led to the creation of peppermint candies. Peppermint originated from a cross between water mint and spearmint. Peppermint can be added to our dog food because it could positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the intestines and gallbladder. Preventing itching is also among the properties of the peppermint plant.

Spirulina

Spirulina is a nutritional supplement with exceptionally high nutritional value, made from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical areas. It belongs to the microalgae family. Did you know that spirulina can be grown in space and consists of 60 to 70% protein?

It is rich in vitamins, including B12, minerals, such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and potassium, and all essential amino acids. Spirulina can generally contribute to the health and well-being of the dog. In addition, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Siberian Husky dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Siberian Husky is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For a Siberian Husky older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Siberian Husky Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Siberian Husky dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, which you close as tightly as possible, into the bin.
