Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so it can be better processed into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Thus, vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, contribute to digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, ensuring the dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Tervueren Shepherd specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Tervueren Shepherd. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Tervueren Shepherd belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutrition experts, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Tervueren Shepherd.
Glucosamine
Glucosamine is an endogenous substance found in joints, cartilage, synovial fluid, and tendons. Glucosamine stimulates cartilage production and keeps joints supple.
Glucosamine is one of the most commonly used supplements for dogs with osteoarthritis and/or joint problems. This is not only the case with older dogs, or (overweight) dogs, but increasingly also with younger, very agile dogs. For example, due to a hereditary predisposition to joint problems. For these and other reasons, glucosamine is added to our dog food.
Marigold
Marigold (calendula) is a plant that, like goldenrod, belongs to the daisy family. Calendula is a cultivated flower; it has been used for its various medicinal properties for centuries. The original calendula species probably grew in Asia and Eastern Europe, but this field marigold is now hardly found in the wild. Marigold is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients.
Much information can be found about the positive effects of calendula. Calendula can be added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the skin, mouth, throat, digestion, eyes, and feet. Especially good for skin and mucous membrane recovery, it has an anti-inflammatory and regenerating effect. It can also prevent cramps during the digestion process.
Calendula is mainly used as an external care product for scratches or skin problems, among other things. But it can also be used internally because of its regenerating properties.
Thyme
Thyme is a genus from the mint family. It includes herbaceous or woody plants with a very aromatic scent. Thyme was used by the Greeks and Romans as a medicinal herb against lung diseases, rheumatism, paralysis, stomach cramps, tumors, headaches, colic, and nervous weaknesses.
The medicinal properties of thyme are confirmed by the high values of vitamin K it contains. In addition, thyme also contains a lot of iron, but also the minerals calcium and manganese. It also contains the amino acid tryptophan and a significant amount of fiber.
Thyme has an anti-inflammatory effect and has powerful antibacterial and antifungal properties. In addition, it stimulates the production of white blood cells and strengthens the immune system. Thyme is rich in antioxidants and effectively combats free radicals.
At Yourdog, we add thyme to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to rheumatism, paralysis, stomach, and nerves. Thyme is also a natural bacteria fighter.

Feeding advice
| Body weight (kg) | Daily amount (g) |
| 10 - 20 | 190 - 315 |
| 20 - 40 | 315 - 525 |
| 40 - 60 | 525 - 750 |
Transition advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise you to follow the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days again. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Tervueren Shepherd dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the container, but to put it in the container with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible.
