Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be better processed into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Not only are vegetables nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, contribute to digestion.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, providing dogs with all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweeds, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Papillon-specific vegetables, herbs and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Papillon. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Papillon belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Papillon.

Nettle

Nettle is a genus of plants, of which the common nettle and the small nettle occur in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying effect. According to various sources, nettle is antibacterial and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhea or other digestive disorders.

Nettle supports the function of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. In addition, it supports the bladder and hair growth of dogs.

Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building block that is part of connective tissue in, among other things, bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and ensures the maintenance of healthy skin.

At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat, skin and bones, but also to preventing digestive and/or urination problems.

Basil

Basil is a genus from the mint family. The name comes from Ancient Greek, where Obasileus means king, so the alternative name is king's herb. It originally occurs between central Africa and Southeast Asia.

According to traditional medicine, basil was used as a treatment for arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart disease and abdominal pain, among others. Research has shown that basil can have strong antioxidant, antiviral and antimicrobial properties. In addition, basil can promote digestion, help remove waste products and can have an antispasmodic and calming effect on dogs.

Plums

The plum is a tree fruit from the rose family and falls into the category of drupes. Plum trees are known for their beautiful blossoms in spring, and the sweet, juicy fruit was already eaten in early Roman times.

Plums contain numerous healthy nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. For example, plums are rich in vitamins A, B6, B12, C and D and the minerals potassium, magnesium and iron. In addition, plums are low in calories and are known for their laxative effect.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Papillon dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Papillon is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Papillon older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Papillon senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Palatability Guarantee

We are convinced of the quality of our food. Therefore, we provide a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packaging. If your Papillon does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will receive a refund of the purchase price.

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Papillon dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible.
